The following teas promote fertility because they each have a specific effect on fertility. Most of the teas can be found in the webshop and are highly recommended for support next to the fertility diet to increase the chance of pregnancy. Check out the mypregnancywish app for fertility-promoting smoothies.
Tea of Meryem flower: This flower has a medicinal effect. It is packed with vitamins and minerals and makes the womb warm. This tea may only be drunk until the third week of the cycle due to uterine contraction that may be caused by the tea. This tea is also used during childbirth to promote contractions. This unique plant is available in the webshop, you need only one twig for a cup of tea which you can re-use.
Hormone balance tea: This tea restores the hormonal balance in the body and has an anti-inflammatory effect. This tea is available in the webshop.
Implantation tea /Progesterone Tea: This tea maintains progesterone levels, promote implantation and helps keep the ph value of the womb environment stable. This tea is often used to support an IUI, IVF or ICSI treatment or in case of repeated miscarriages. You drink this tea once a day from ovulation to the third month of pregnancy. This tea is available in the webshop.
Cold womb tea and steam herbs: The cold womb cure is especially made for women who are often cold during their cycle. One of the causes of feeling cold is a disturbed blood flow. An imbalance in the environment of your womb makes the womb cold and toxic. That is for an embryo like a stinky house without a stove, not nice to stay in! This tea ensures that your womb warms up nicely and removes any harmful substances in your uterus from the body. This tea is available in the webshop.
Raspberry leaf tea/Rubus Ideas Drops: Raspberry leaf tea helps contribute to a healthy, firm and well-functioning womb. This would improve the womb’s ability to carry a baby. It has a very beneficial effect on the reproductive organs, is very good for the blood circulation of the uterus, helps against infertility and is good for the regulation of the menstrual cycle. Raspberry leaves have been the subject of various studies. This has shown that, unfortunately, the investigations contradict each other. One study says that the womb is stimulated, so that you can no longer use this herb as soon as you are pregnant. Until it relaxes the uterus during and without pregnancy. It seems therefore that raspberry leaves regulate. It is also very good for the development of the uterine lining and therefore very important for women with a thin uterine lining. A good thickness of lining is very important for implantation. It is possible to pull tea from raspberry leaves, but it is also available in liquid form (this is stronger). One cup every evening (max. 3 cups per day) is sufficient until at least the transfer. The liquid form I recommend not to drip after transfer.
Nettle tea: You can drink this tea from the first day of your period up to ovulation as a cleaning treatment to support detoxification. Three to five cups daily is recommended for a minimum of ten days. Nettle improves digestion by the substance bitter, reduces inflammation and antiseptics, improves oxygen transport and immune system by iron, neutralises harmful free radicals by quercetin, has an anti-fungal effect by ruthinoside, regulates blood sugar levels and maintains the moisture balance by potassium, and the dietary fibres in nettle tea stimulate bowel movement. Keep in mind that your body first has to get used to the tea and that you often have to go to the toilet because it cleans your intestines. It also contains vitamin C, E, K, beta-carotene, calcium, sulphur, manganese and silicon.
Cranberry tea: A study has been completed about women who want to become pregnant and bladder infection. It turned out that there is a relationship between women who often have bladder infection and the implantation as a result of possible IVF failure. Repeated bladder infections indicate a disruption of your microbiole. This is a disruption in your intestinal flora and good bacteria in your bladder. Several scientific studies have shown that proanthocyanidins in cranberries prevent bacteria from nesting in the bladder. The effectiveness of cranberries is so good that they recommended it as a safe and effective alternative to antibiotics for urinary infections. Nevertheless, if your infection is not stopped by drinking the tea, than it means the infection was to big too handle. You should go than tot he doctor for antibiotics. Thereafter you have to take probiotics, to bring back the good bacteries in your intestinal flora.
Ginger tea: Hot water and rasped ginger or slices, this tea makes your uterus warm. Do not drink too much of this after the implantation period, it can also heat up your uterus too much and it gives a crambling effect.
Rooibos tea: Packed with anti-oxidants and can support the implantation. You can continue to drink this tea throughout your whole cycle. I recommend to use the organic version without additives.
Camomile tea: For relaxation. This tea is anti-inflammatory, has a strong calming and soothing effect. This tea is also good for digestion and for complaints related to stress, tension and contraction.
Pomegranate juice: Symbol of fertility. Packed with anti-oxidants, good dose of potassium, vitamin C and iron. It gives your libido a boost and is one of the most effective aphrodisiacs. Pomegranate juice has a positive influence on the implantation. You can drink this (biological) juice without any restrictions, I recommend that you take a glass of it every day. The fruit itself can also be eaten, chew it well!
You can always drink organic fruits and vegetable juices in glass. Look carefully at the label to see if it contains any additives. Do not drink fruit juices from the regular supermarket, which are packed with E- numbers and sugars.
Drink a lot of water, but don’t overdo it. You drink 2 litres of water per day and not more than 1 litre per hour. A good moisture balance is an important condition for a new life. They say that tap water in the Netherlands is the cleanest water in the world. Nothing could be further from the truth, but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy and good for you! Today, the water is polluted by drug residues, biocides, pesticides, flame retardants, anti-biotics, insecticides, heavy metals, cosmetics.
So look for solutions to filter these bad substances out of your water. Putting a water filter on your tap is one of them. If that investment is too expensive, then a next option is a water jug filter that you can buy at natural shops. It is also good to buy a water bottle made of glass because the bad chemicals in plastic bottles. The i9 water bottle brings your water back to it´s natural state, makes your water vital and structured. Structured water is more easily absorbed by the body. This water bottle could reduce the stress level in your body by 25%. It is still much better to drink Dutch tap water than lemonade or juice out of packs. However, do not drink ice-cold water, preferably lukewarn because that is better for your womb and bowels.
If you find it boring to drink every day water, you can be creative with ingredients such as fruit and cucumber. Water with a few slices of lemon and chia seeds is a good change and also healthy. It is good to start the day with this. The acidity of lemon makes the minerals from your diet more absorbable and is alkaline.
