Break down linseed with a mortar or let them cut briefly in a powerful food processor/blender.

Many people think it is better to buy broken linseed. That is a big misunderstanding, it is easier, certainly not healthier. Broken linseed oxidizes very quickly, it is not easy to notice, but actually it is rotten. Eating toxic linseed means an increase of free radicals in your body that can cause damage. However, it is better not to eat them whole, because they do not digest well. That’s why we only sell whole linseed. You can break it immediately before use or you grind it in small quantities. After grinding, you store it in a sealed jar in the refrigerator to prevent oxidation.

At breakfast, eat linseed through a smoothie, through the salad, through a bread or pancake mix, mix it with the soup or stew at the last minute (do not cook).
